Job summary

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Milton Keynes is seeking NHS 111 Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Advisors (Band 6). You will be the first point of contact, assessing symptoms over the phone, triaging to the right care, and working within a multidisciplinary team of health advisors, nurses, paramedics, and pharmacists.

The role is office-based with no home working; full or part-time posts are available and training is provided; eligibility includes registration as a nurse

Qualifications

• At least 3 years minimum post registration experience.
• Registered general nurse (RN1, RNA).
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good level of computer literacy.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Recent professional clinical experience.
• Prepared to work 5/8 weekends in a 4-week period.
• Motivated towards further professional development.
• Understanding of Clinical Governance and audit practices.

Responsibilities

• Call patients to clinically access their symptoms while triaging in a multidisciplinary team.
• Coordinate care with health advisors, nurses, paramedics, mental health practitioners, and pharmacists.
• Ensure patients receive the right care, in the right place, first time.
