Job summary

SI Recruitment Limited are seeking a Senior Client Manager for a well-established accountancy practice in Cross Hills, near Keighley. The role focuses on managing client relationships, reviewing accounts and supervising staff, with a strong UK practice background.

The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 15 years' UK practice experience, able to supervise a team of four accountants, and comfortable dealing with business owners and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 15 years' UK-based accountancy practice experience.
• Strong experience in accounts preparation and review.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships.
• Experience supervising or managing accounting staff.
• Strong management accounts experience.
• Proficient with accounting software (CCH, Sage, Xero).

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients as senior contact for accounting and tax.
• Build relationships with business owners and senior stakeholders.
• Supervise a team of at least four accountants.
• Review colleagues' work for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and review accounts from incomplete records and computerised records.
• Prepare company and personal tax returns.
• Prepare accounts for varied clients including sole traders, limited companies, partnerships and LLPs.
• Prepare and review management accounts.
• Liaise with clients on accounting, tax and practice matters.
• Attend client meetings and visits as required.
• Manage workloads to meet deadlines.
• Support the wider practice with ad-hoc accounting projects.
• Identify issues and provide practical solutions.
