Job summary

Adele Carr Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Client Manager for an expanding accountancy practice. You will manage your own client portfolio and deliver accounts, tax, bookkeeping, VAT and business advisory services while supporting the team.

The role focuses on building long-term client relationships, reviewing year-end accounts and tax returns, and using cloud accounting tools such as Xero to drive business growth. Hybrid working and competitive rewards are on offer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience within an accountancy practice
• AAT or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or QBE
• Strong accounts and tax knowledge
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Proactive, commercial approach and growth mindset
• Experience with cloud accounting systems (Xero/TaxCalc) is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of clients and building long-term relationships
• Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts, corporation tax and personal tax returns
• Preparing VAT returns, bookkeeping and management accounts
• Providing tax planning, business advice and financial analysis
• Preparing budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections and business plans
• Supporting R&D tax claims, P11Ds and payroll services
• Advising clients on profitability and business processes
• Assisting with business valuations and finance raising
• Leading and developing a team of Client Accountants and support staff
• Supporting training and development of junior team members
• Maximising benefits of cloud accounting technology including Xero
• Collaborating with Directors and Senior Client Managers to deliver excellent client service
