Senior Client Manager

Are you an experienced practice accountant ready to lead a team and take charge of a varied client portfolio?

This well-established Yorkshire accountancy firm is looking for a Senior Client Manager to join their Goole office.

This is a standout opportunity for a driven and personable professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality accounts and tax compliance services, particularly to owner-managed businesses – with a strong presence in the farming sector.

Role Responsibilities

• Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Leading the preparation and review of accounts, tax computations, and personal/partnership tax returns
• Supervising and mentoring trainees, supporting their development
• Building strong client relationships and identifying tax-saving opportunities
• Contributing to the smooth running of the department, including workflow, billing, and project delivery
• Attending client meetings and working closely with partners on strategic client needs

Candidate Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
• At least two years in a managerial role within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong experience in accounts preparation and tax compliance
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Office
• Excellent organisational, communication, and team leadership skills
• A proactive, solution-focused mindset
• A good working knowledge of farming accounts (desirable)
