Senior Client Accountant, Capital Markets

Location: St Helier, Jersey

Department: Global Capital Markets

Job Type: Permanent, Hybrid

Hours: 35 hours per week

About the Role

As a Senior Client Accountant in our growing Capital Markets team, you'll be part of CSC - the world's leading provider of business, legal, tax, and digital brand services.

You'll support the delivery of specialist accounting and financial services across a range of capital markets structures. Working closely with senior team members and clients, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate, high-quality financial reporting while gaining exposure to complex, international transactions. Key Responsibilities
  • Review transaction documentation and determine appropriate accounting treatment for SPVs and cell companies
  • Set up and maintain general ledgers, ensuring accuracy in line with transaction requirements
  • Post journal entries and maintain up-to-date accounting records
  • Prepare annual financial statements (IFRS or local GAAP), including all required disclosures
  • Liaise with auditors to deliver audited accounts within deadlines
  • Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts and other client deliverables
  • Prepare and file corporation tax returns
  • Resolve technical accounting queries by working with clients and relevant counterparties
  • Review work prepared by colleagues and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Gain exposure to a wide variety of capital markets structures and financial products
Your Profile
  • ACA or ACCA (or equivalent) qualified with at least 3 years' post-qualified experience
  • Background in financial services or accountancy practice
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally with audit exposure
  • Highly organised, detail-focused and able to meet deadlines
  • Team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Professional, reliable and motivated, with a collaborative approach
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
