Senior Client Accountant

Due to continuous and considerable growth, we are seeking a Senior Client Accountant to join our team. This role is critical to our business, working closely with Property Services and Lettings teams, requiring regular client correspondence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in client accounting, with the ability to support the finance team whilst ensuring all company policies and procedures are adhered to with a high degree of accuracy. You will be expected to deliver on time while supporting the company’s vision and values.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a lettings Client Accounting role
• Experience working in a similar sized growing organisation
• Proficient with Microsoft Office package – Strong Excel skills
• Familiarity with Reapit is welcome but not essential
• Good knowledge of financial management and reporting
• Experience processing banking payments (BACS or manual payments)
• Thorough understanding of property related accounts processes
• Excellent eye for attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical skills and confidence with data analysis
• Problem solver with the ability to take ownership and resolve issues internally and externally
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team – confident phone manner
• Structured, disciplined, energetic, and committed to continuous improvement

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Provide support to Head of Client Accounts with audits and compliance. Provide cover of Lettings Forecast and banking payments, and exchanges process during Head of Client Accounts’ AL or meetings
• Assist with answering incoming internal and external queries (tenants, landlords, suppliers)
• Assist in ensuring fees are compliant with agreed schedule
• Assist in preparation of weekly and monthly client accounting reports
• Assist with Non-Resident Landlord tax set up & payment, and distribution of regulatory statements
• Review and process supplier payments and bank statements, ensuring compliance with internal processes
• Help in receipting cash inflows in line with AML regulations and setting up payments
• Review contractor commissions, third party invoices, and raise invoices
• You will be required to travel to another Winchester White office at least once a month for the end of the month meeting
• Monday-Friday 9am-6pm – Earlsfield Office
• 5 days from the Earlsfield office during probation, 4 days from the office/1 WFH moving forward
• 23 annual leave days + bank holidays + your birthday off
• Up to 10% bonus paid in quarterly instalments after probation
• Company events + lunches/breakfasts
