Qualifications

Job description

Sewell Wallis are partnering with a regional firm of Accountants who, due to growth, are looking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant into their Head Office team in Leeds.


This is an excellent opportunity to join a firm that truly believes in looking after its staff and offers ongoing progression and development opportunities.


What will you be doing?
  1. Preparing management and statutory accounts for a portfolio of clients.
  2. Assisting with the onboarding of new clients.
  3. Preparing corporate and personal tax returns.
  4. Working closely with the leadership team in helping to drive their continued growth strategy.
  5. Building, developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients.
  6. Liaising with HMRC.
  7. Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
  8. Review work completed by junior members of the team.

What skills are we looking for?
  1. PQ/Qualified ACCA / ACA / AAT qualified.
  2. Experience working within an Accountancy Practice and managing a portfolio of clients.
  3. Knowledge of Sage 50, Xero, and QuickBooks is advantageous.
  4. Ambitious individual, looking to progress.
  5. Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  6. Strong attention to detail.
  7. Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
