Senior Clerical Officer, Immediate start. Belfast. £13.24 per hour

Your new company

A Public Sector Organisation based in Belfast is recruiting for a Senior Clerical Officer for an immediate start.

Your new role

You will be responsible for the administrative support functions within the organisation. Main duties include:

  1. Word processing, MS Teams, databases, spreadsheets, email, fax, intranet, and internet facilities.
  2. Providing clerical and secretarial support, including preparing letters, minutes, reports, presentations, and updating spreadsheets and databases as required.
  3. Acting as a point of contact—meeting and greeting visitors, responding to inquiries, taking messages, and redirecting phone calls.
  4. Assisting in the collation and inputting of factual data and statistical information from various sources to support the organisation's work.
  5. Organising meetings, preparing materials, and clearing rooms after meetings.
  6. Preparing and processing claims and invoices for payment via the Sage accounts system.
  7. Maintaining efficient recording and filing systems.
  8. Liaising with relevant stakeholders as required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • Demonstrable experience and proficiency in MS Office packages, with specific examples using Word, Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience collating and inputting data to produce reports.
  • Experience maintaining digital records.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including scheduling meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with the public.
  • Strong people skills and teamworking abilities.
