A vacancy has arisen within the North Lanarkshire Virtual School for a Senior Clerical Assistant. The Virtual School is a multi-disciplinary service which supports the wellbeing and educational needs of care experienced children and young people.
This post will be based in Airdrie. As part of this dynamic and creative team, the successful candidate will provide a high level of clerical and administrative support. Candidates should have sound experience of word processing, excel, with good keyboard and information technology skills. Excellent organisational and communication skills, both oral and written are essential as the Virtual School works across a wide range of council services including schools and Social Work and with a number of relevant partners. Ability to use SEEMIS and/or Mosaic systems is desirable. Candidates must also have the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding all aspects of work.
Experience of working within a clerical/administrative environment with a working knowledge of all Microsoft packages is essential whilst HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Administration, or equivalent, previous supervisory experience and knowledge of personnel policies and procedures is desirable.
You will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to starting this post.
