Job description

Due to continued framework wins, we are looking to appoint several Senior Clean Water Modellers at various locations across the UK. Our Senior Clean Water Modellers lead our team in providing modelling, calibration, and analytical support on a range of clean water projects.

About The Team:

RPS Water Consulting is a team of Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy development to our Water Industry clients to support business planning and delivery. This industry offers challenges and opportunities requiring innovation, dedication, and teamwork.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Technical development and delivery of clean water hydraulic models, including construction, calibration, use studies, optioneering, and analysis, meeting time, budget, and quality standards.
  2. Leading modelling project teams across diverse water infrastructure projects.
  3. Line management of project team members, including leadership, workload planning, technical support, and staff development.
  4. Ensuring quality and standards compliance of modelling outputs.
  5. Managing project financials, forecasting, bids, and proposals.
  6. Building and maintaining strong client relationships and driving continuous improvement of modelling tools and processes.
  7. Overseeing project programmes and resource demands, and collaborating with internal teams.
  8. Contributing to commercial performance, risk management, and proposal development.
  9. Managing health, safety, quality, and environmental aspects of projects, with potential travel to client sites or offices.
About You
  1. A degree in a relevant technical subject; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
  2. Experience with water modelling software such as InfoWorks WS, Synergi Water, or similar.
  3. Proficiency in MS 365, advanced Excel, Visual Basic, and GIS systems (MapInfo, ArcGIS, QGIS).
  4. Deep expertise in hydraulic modelling or related water infrastructure projects, with a focus on complex or innovative projects.
  5. Leadership skills in managing and motivating teams, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  6. Ability to manage projects or support project managers in managing modelling packages.
  7. Chartered membership or working towards it in relevant professional institutions (CIWEM, IOW, ICE, or equivalent) is preferred.
  8. A full clean driving license.
