What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers Europe seeks a Senior Claims Manager, AVP, to lead our Financial and Professionals Lines Complex Claims Team. You will manage a high-performing team, develop strategy, and oversee claim investigations, legal advice, and industry representation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 6 Senior Claim Professionals.
• Develop and execute claim strategies and policies.
• Manage significant litigation and oversee claim trends.
• Provide legal advice, review forms, and negotiate agreements.
• Collaborate with underwriting and act as a liaison for business partners.

Legal and Strategic Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze bond forms, provide legal risk assessments.
• Oversee legal support and litigation strategies.
• Maintain current knowledge on legal issues in the market.

Leadership and Operations:

• Set the tone for collaboration and claim handling standards.
• Manage staffing, skills, and performance of the team.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in business line management preferred.
• Legal degree and bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills.
