Managing your own portfolio of high value claims (c.100 claims) to include gathering information to enable the early arrival at the correct liability decision giving consideration to economic settlement

Acting as a technical referral point to junior claims colleagues, driving a commercial view through referral replies and utilising these to develop their technical skills

Providing support to our Bodily Injury Unit team through mentoring, training and other projects designed to increase their technical skills and development

Carrying out technical audits as directed and recording your findings, highlighting any knowledge shortfalls or trends that you identify

Ensuring all cases over your own financial handling authority are referred to your mentor at agreed times

Managing your own self development, agreeing a personal development plan with your team leader and working towards it, ensuring you can evidence progress

Skills we would love you to have

Substantial knowledge and experience of settling claims in excess of £25k, including litigation

Colleague coaching and development knowledge, with good team working/building skills

Strong negotiation and influencing skills, combined with natural problem solving ability
