We are looking for a Senior Claims Expert to join our Property Claims team, based in London.

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Head of Property, Entertainment, Natural Resources and Construction Claims (UK), you will manage the investigation and reserving of Property claims, maintaining accurate claims records, and ensuring operational excellence. You will also play a crucial role in relationship management and claims handling, contributing to the growth and market position of Allianz Commercial.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

1. Thorough investigations and reserving of claims, with accurate maintenance of claims records within Allianz Commercial Claims administration systems for designated accounts.
2. Representation of Allianz Commercial positively in the market, with development and maintenance of strong relationships with key brokers, clients, and other stakeholders, including third-party adjusters, and encouragement of collaboration across functional areas involved in the claims handling process.
3. Resolution of high exposure and complex Property claims with effective, service-oriented solutions, evaluation of coverage issues, determination of appropriate reserving levels, and support for the establishment of claims management procedures for new business accounts.
4. Leadership of projects and change initiatives to enhance operational excellence within the UK Claims department, with active participation in cross-departmental projects to improve efficiency and the claims offering and ensuring timely referral of matters exceeding authority to the line manager, maintaining compliance with internal guidelines and procedures.
5. Timely production of management information reports, such as monthly major claims movements, with proactive identification and analysis of loss trends for strategic decision-making.

What You'll Bring to the Role

• Excellent technical knowledge in handling Property claims. Experience in doing so on a global basis, with experience in interacting with multiple stakeholders in different locations is a benefit.
• Proven excellence in communication, both verbal and written, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders, enhancing relationship management capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse complex data and situations, identify key issues, and develop effective solutions, showcasing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in delivering engaging and informative presentations to diverse audiences, effectively conveying information and insights.
• Strong command of oral and written expression, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, ensuring accurate and efficient information exchange.
• Comprehensive understanding of benchmarking processes and key performance indicators (KPIs), with the ability to apply this knowledge to drive performance improvements and strategic decision-making.
• Skilled in project management, with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects to successful completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
