Direct Line Group is looking for a specialist in the Large and Complex Loss Claims Team to manage high value household property claims. The role entails ensuring effective claims servicing and adherence to SLAs, while contributing to the technical strategy of the claims department. What you'll be doing
As part of the Large and Complex Loss Claims Team you will deliver service and indemnity cost outcomes in the management of large and complex losses that meet business objectives whilst supporting and contributing to the claims technical strategy and practice.
Key Accountabilities:
Deliver initiative claims savings, settlement cost performance, large loss emergence, reserve accuracy and run off to agreed targets on own and departmental portfolios of large and complex loss claims.
Claims servicing to meet or exceed agreed SLA’s and caseload/FTE targets across all classes at all times by utilising operational performance data.
Responsible for the engagement and performance of suppliers ensuring they adhere to the policy and contracted terms.
Support Technical Property and Liability Claims Manager as DLG ‘s principal SME for large and complex Property and Liability.
Assist with the performance management, development and engagement of all staff within the property and liability large loss team.
Support and embed professional risk management as key part of culture to the standards expected of an independent organisation as tested in a due diligence process.
Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to the role, in line with theDirect Line Group risk framework
Our hybrid model offers a 'best of both worlds' approach. When you'll be in the office depends on your role and team, but colleagues spend at least 2 days a week in the office.
What You’ll Need
Experience handling all aspects of large and complex household property claims, such as fire, flood, escape of water, environmental and subsidence claims
The ability to manage a caseload of complex and high value household property claims from notification to completion
Effective communication skills, demonstrating the ability to engage with both team members and senior stakeholders across the business
