Job description

We have a new role available for a Senior Property Claims Adjuster. This should be carried out in accordance with the conditions of the cover, CHUBB Policy and Procedures, and agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for internal and external customers.

You will be required to independently handle a portfolio of technically complex and high-value Commercial Property and Real Estate claims, within agreed authority limits. Specific experience in Real Estate claims would be highly beneficial.

We are looking for a team player, with a positive attitude and capable of working under pressure, to join the complex and high-value claims team based in London.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accurately assess and evaluate a high volume of technically complex UK, International, and Multinational property and Real Estate claims.
  2. Analyze and apply policy coverage accurately to all assigned claims. Ensure that all claims are adjusted in accordance with the applicable coverage. Handle claims promptly, efficiently, and within SLAs. Negotiate and settle claims proactively following company guidelines and best practices.
  3. Identify complaints and recognize customer expressions of dissatisfaction to ensure issues are handled or escalated timely and in accordance with the Complaints Policy and Procedures.
  4. Instruct, liaise with, and manage external vendors. Monitor the quality and cost of their services, ensuring technical and service standards are met.
  5. Maintain knowledge of CHUBB Policy and Procedures, regulatory requirements, and ensure personal compliance. Take responsibility for adherence to regulatory and compliance controls.
  6. Develop technical knowledge and expertise, and CHUBB behavioral competencies, through personal development.
  7. Support and develop relationships with internal and external contacts, including Underwriting, Actuarial, Brokers, and Key Customer Accounts, regarding claims issues and insured requirements within SLAs.
  8. Support claims operational initiatives and projects as directed by the Property Claims Team Manager.
  9. Conduct regular peer audit reviews to support team development.
Qualifications:
  1. Extensive experience in a customer-facing role within a Broker, Insurer, or Loss Adjuster, handling complex Property and Business Interruption claims independently.
  2. Judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  3. Strong attention to detail.
  4. Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and high standards.
  5. Awareness of Fraud and Regulatory Compliance relevant to the Insurance Industry.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office packages.
  7. ACII qualification or progress toward it is preferred but not essential.
