As a Senior Claims Handler / Adjuster, you will play a critical role in the Property claims team by managing and resolving claims for our customers. You will work closely with your manager, coordinating with fellow claims adjusters to bring claims to resolution. You will interact and collaborate with the practice leader, underwriting team, brokers, clients, and experts on assigned accounts, taking ownership of critical issues related to claims management.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  1. You will provide oversight and direction related to coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving, and resolution of a book of product-specific claims in accordance with your authority and the Claims Handler Guidelines.
  2. You will effectively control a portfolio of claims by ensuring that communications, new claims, and notifications are dealt with promptly.
  3. Supporting Underwriting and Actuarial teams and key stakeholders regarding claim trends, marketing, and business development.
  4. Interacting with and supporting management and relevant internal stakeholders to support Underwriting Growth and Profitability.
  5. Assisting the Claims Manager in implementing strategy within the Claims team.
  6. Supporting the claims operations team to generate reports, monitor service level agreements (SLAs), and chase required information to progress claims.

You will report to the Claims Manager – Property.

We’re looking for someone with these abilities and skills:

  1. Advanced knowledge of Property claims, including domestic and commercial property.
  2. Understanding of the Claims function operation and claim lifecycle.
  3. Ownership and accountability for managing assigned claims and strategizing for optimal results.
  4. Delivering prompt, fair, and innovative claims service to enhance broker and client relationships.
  5. Ability to establish relationships, collaborate effectively, and leverage those relationships to achieve goals.
  6. Building expertise in the management and resolution of Claims.
  7. Providing claim handling support and training to team members.
  8. Using relevant data to support case strategy and gain buy-in.
