What Is the Opportunity?

Travelers is looking for a Senior Claim Professional to join our team based in London, Manchester, or Redhill. You will handle claims over $100k (USD) in the Power, Utilities, and Renewables sectors, providing expert claim handling, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution while adhering to company policies and best practices. This role offers flexibility for hybrid work and a £2500 new joiner bonus, with referral opportunities.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of complex claims within assigned lines of business.
  • Provide market-leading claim handling, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution.
  • Collaborate with Underwriting and Actuarial teams on portfolio risk, trends, and policy language.
  • Open claims, set reserves, investigate coverage, liability, and quantum, and provide legal assistance if needed.
  • Negotiate settlements promptly and communicate cover details clearly.
  • Monitor vendor performance for cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Maintain close relationships with underwriters and risk management teams.
  • Attend to insureds and brokers, promoting department and company values.
  • Support team members and participate in projects.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Significant experience in handling claims within assigned lines.
  • At least 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.
Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
  • Lloyd's and London market experience preferred.
  • Strong technical background managing complex claims and key accounts.
  • Product expertise in assigned lines is a plus.
Licensing or Certificates
  • ACII qualification preferred.
  • Certificate in London Market Insurance preferred.
