Senior Civils Estimator - Natural Resources Nuclear & Networks Team

Location: Sites in Manchester and Warrington - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

Hours: 40 hours per week

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Civils Estimator, you'll be working within the Commercial team, supporting them in maximising the commercial position of Kier whilst securing opportunities in line with our contract objectives.

Your day-to-day will include:

1. Leading the estimating process within the bid or framework teams from receipt of documents to handover to the delivery teams.
2. Preparation and representation of the estimate bid team meetings and final settlement of bid.
3. Initiate technical queries and ensure design is sufficiently developed to ensure accurate costings.
4. Technical and commercial appraisal of material and subcontract quotations including selection of prospective sub-contractors.
5. Use of estimating software such as RIB Candy or similar software as a basis for preparing the estimate.

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Civils Estimator is ideal if you have:

• A Degree/HNC in a construction or civil engineering related subject.
• Experience working as an Estimator for a major civil engineering contractor.
• Commercial awareness with knowledge of various forms of contract - NEC, ICE, and IChemE.
