Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in London is seeking a Chartered Civil Utilities Engineer to lead planning, design and delivery of utility infrastructure across major projects. The role requires collaborating with utility providers, regulators and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.

Hybrid work is available with offices in London and Epsom; you will guide technical delivery, manage interfaces and drive project success through the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Chartered Civil Utilities Engineer with leadership experience.
• Experience delivering utility infrastructure solutions for major projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility engineering activities from feasibility through detailed design and construction support.
• Develop utility strategies for major infrastructure and development projects.
• Coordinate statutory undertakers, utility companies, and asset owners to secure technical approvals.
• Review utility records, asset protection requirements, and survey information.
• Lead utility clash detection and coordination using BIM and digital engineering tools.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and best practices.
• Manage interfaces between utility infrastructure and civil disciplines (highways, drainage, earthworks, structures).
