Job Description

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Civil Test Engineer to join a pioneering nuclear infrastructure project. This role is integral to validating and verifying the design and construction of critical civil structures through rigorous testing and analysis. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that all civil components meet stringent safety and performance standards.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Lead and support the planning, execution, and analysis of test programs for civil structures.
• Develop and manage test plans, ensuring alignment with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to design and implement test rigs and facilities.
• Analyze test data to validate design assumptions and inform engineering decisions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, such as Eurocodes, British Standards, ACI, ASCE, and ANSI.
• Document test procedures, results, and recommendations in detailed technical reports.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Professional recognition through an appropriate engineering body or actively working towards it.
• Experience in designing steel and concrete structures, with familiarity in modular construction techniques involving integrated mechanical, structural, and EC&I elements.
• Proven experience in executing testing, research, or development projects related to civil engineering structures.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including CDM, ANSI690, and Eurocodes.
• Experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated sectors is desirable but not mandatory.
