Location: Any UK Office within the GHD EMEA Region

Reports to: Team Leader (BIM)

Job Type: Full-time | Hybrid Working Available

About The Role

Are you a skilled Civil Technician with a passion for precision, collaboration, and innovation? GHD is seeking a Senior Civil Technician to join our dynamic team in the UK. In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality engineering design documentation across a wide range of infrastructure projects.

You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, and project stakeholders to ensure that every project is delivered to the highest standards — on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver accurate and high-quality engineering design documentation in line with GHD and industry standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop the best solutions for clients.
Manage your workload to meet project deadlines and budget requirements.
Apply a strong understanding of HSEQ principles, including CDM regulations.
Support and mentor junior team members, contributing to their professional development.
Actively participate in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, including:

Surface modelling
Pipe networks
Corridor modelling
Cut and fill
Profiles and grading

Familiarity with other Autodesk Design Suite tools; knowledge of Revit is a plus.
Experience working within Common Data Environments (CDEs) and BIM systems.
Strong understanding of relevant client and industry standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong working relationships across teams.

Qualifications & Skills

Achieved or working towards EngTech accreditation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Proactive approach to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members.
