Job description

Location: Manchester (3 days per week in the office, 2 from home)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Hours: 40 hours per week

IR35: To be determined

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform civil and structural analysis, calculations, and prepare reports and specifications.
  2. Collaborate with BIM teams to communicate designs clearly and accurately.
  3. Attend site visits, design reviews, and client meetings as necessary.
  4. Support and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and development.
  5. Act as the lead engineer during client meetings, showcasing authority and confidence in presenting technical solutions.
  6. Ensure designs and deliverables meet industry standards and client requirements.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5-10 years experience in civil/structural engineering, preferably in nuclear, oil & gas, or process industries.
  • BEng in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Chartered status with ICE or IStructE is preferred.
  • CSCS card holder is desirable.
  • Strong experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
