Job summary

A specialist engineering firm in the UK is seeking multiple Senior Civil Structural BIM/CAD Designers for an Oil & Gas project. The role involves producing CAD deliverables, including 3D models and technical drawings, in a hybrid working environment. Candidates should have experience in AVEVA 3D BIM modelling and Autodesk Civil 3D. The right candidate must have the ability to design foundations and below-ground infrastructure, with existing rights to work in the UK.

Senior Civil Structural BIM / CAD Designers

Our client is currently looking for multiple Senior Civil Structural BIM / CAD Designers, the contract will be working outside of IR35 on a Oil & Gas project, the work will be offering hybrid working with offices located in either Manchester or Teesside dependant on the candidates location. The client is offering negotiable rates that will be commensurate with experience.

In this role you will be working within a team but often with minimal supervision or guidance, the main requirements of this role is to produce Civil & Structural CAD design deliverables this will include, 3D models, technical drawings and sketches for pipeline projects. You will be responsible for preparing preliminary and details designs in 2D and 3D for Civil and Structural, temporary and permanent works as requested by the Principal or Lead Engineers/Designers.

The client is looking for candidates that have experience of AVEVA 3ED BIM modelling and 2D drawings extraction and/or Autodesk Civil 3D and some elements of AutoCAD for Civils design. The right candidate must be competent in design & detailing of foundations, below ground infrastructure this is including: Drainage, Cable ducting, Steelworks and Concrete with experience in reinforced concrete being advantageous. The right to work within the UK must already be established
