Job Description

Senior Rail Civil Engineer Slough/Basingstoke

A successful engineering consultancy based in Slough is currently seeking a Senior Civil Rail Engineer to join their team on a Permanent basis. As Civil Engineer you will have extensive experience in the rail infrastructure sector with particular focus on design of track and earthworks.

You will be involved in Rail Infrastructure projects around track, earthworks, embankment stabilisation, culverts, minor civils, surveys and inspections.

Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for the delivery of safe, compliant designs under Network Rail standards
  • Mentor, support and supervise other team members
  • Oversee resource planning and skills development across project teams
  • You’ll manage rail infrastructure projects from inception through to delivery and ensure they are delivered on time, to budget and the required quality & safety standards
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with Network Rail, Tier 1 contractors and other stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in engineering delivery
Requirements:
  • Ideally you will have a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Extensive experience and a proven track record of delivering rail civil engineering projects
  • You’ll have a strong technical knowledge of track and earthworks design
  • Experience in managing and developing engineering teams
  • Knowledge of Network Rail assurance and compliance processes
  • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably AutoCAD, Civil 3D etc

The role will be based between Slough and Basingstoke and offers a competitive salary
