Carrington West in Surrey is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial aspects on a multi-discipline civils scheme covering highways and flood alleviation packages. The role starts immediately and runs for 1-2 years.

You will prepare monthly valuations, run subcontractor procurement and manage change, forecasts and cost reports, while liaising with project managers and the client team to keep the scheme commercially on track.

Qualifications

• Proven QS experience on civil engineering schemes, ideally highways, flood defence or water infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (ECC Options A/C).
• Experience with CESMM and/or MMHW.
• Confident with valuations, change management and subcontractor accounts.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Look after all commercial matters on a multi-discipline civils scheme covering highways and flood alleviation packages
• Prepare and submit monthly valuations, applications for payment and cost reports
• Run subcontractor procurement, including tender enquiries, comparisons, orders and payments
• Manage change control, assessing and agreeing compensation events or variations
• Produce forecasts, CVRs and cost-to-complete reports
• Measure and value works, including remeasurement against the Bill of Quantities
• Work closely with project managers, engineers and the client team to keep the scheme commercially on track
