Job summary

Manchester City Council is recruiting for a civil litigation lawyer to join the Civil Litigation Group. You will handle a range of debt recovery and claims litigation matters, including Personal Injury and damages claims against the council.

The role requires Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent, strong knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules, and ability to deliver high-quality advice and draft pleadings. Hybrid working and a 35-hour week are offered, with a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience of claims handling and good knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
• Chartered Legal Executive or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Handle a range of debt recovery and claims litigation cases.
• Deal with various types of claims brought against the City Council, including Personal Injury and damages.
• Work as part of the Civil Litigation Group within Manchester City Council to support litigation matters.
