Job summary

One Way Resourcing is partnering with a well-established civil engineering contractor in Scunthorpe to appoint an Estimator. The role covers end-to-end tendering for complex groundworks, infrastructure and coastal projects across the UK, with a strong emphasis on competitive costing and value engineering.

You will review drawings and specifications, prepare costed tenders, issue enquiries to subcontractors and coordinate with buying, plant and accounts teams to ensure accurate, timely

Qualifications

• Experience in civil estimating and tendering.
• Background in groundworks or infrastructure.
• Experience with reinforced concrete, formwork, rebar, drainage.

Responsibilities

• Review tender opportunities and Invitations to Tender.
• Prepare and manage tenders from enquiry to submission.
• Review drawings, specs and tender docs.
• Attend site visits to understand project requirements.
• Produce preliminary method statements and safety plans.
• Prepare and issue subcontractor enquiries.
• Coordinate with buying, plant and accounts for costs.
• Assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Attend tender adjudication meetings with Commercial Team.
• Submit tenders to clients and portals.
• Complete PQQs and maintain client framework information.
• Support commercial negotiations during the tender process.
• Hand over successful tenders to delivery teams.
