What will you do as our Senior Civil Engineer?

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing civil engineering expertise to develop and deliver water and water recycling solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Produce civil designs, calculations, and specifications to 'Issued For Construction' standards for water, wastewater, or pipeline projects, coordinating with CAD technicians for 3D models or 2D drawings.
• Collaborate within design teams to ensure timely, within-budget, and standard-compliant outputs, engaging stakeholders including operations, contractors, and suppliers.
• Promote health and safety in design by eliminating hazards and reducing risks, complying with CDM procedures.
• Manage projects from feasibility to detailed design and construction.
• Conduct site visits for asset assessment, feasibility studies, and survey data collection.
• Support updating and expanding standard products used in design solutions.
• Identify opportunities to meet digital, sustainability, innovation, and people objectives.

Skills, experience, and behaviors:

• Minimum HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience in civil engineering within the water industry.
• Experience in designing civil structures for water and wastewater projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office, relevant design software, British Standards, and Eurocodes.
• Ability to interpret ground investigation reports for appropriate design solutions.
• Strong communication, reporting, and data analysis skills.
