Job summary

Cavendish (Recruitment) Professionals Ltd are recruiting for a Senior Site Engineer to join a leading UK construction client in Luton. The role focuses on RC frames, groundworks, civil engineering and infrastructure projects, delivering on-site engineering leadership.

You will manage day-to-day engineering activities, lead setting-out operations, review drawings, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure quality and safety standards on large-scale schemes.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or a related construction discipline.
• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer within RC Frame, Groundworks, Civil Engineering, or Main Contracting environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methodologies and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day engineering activities across allocated project sections.
• Lead setting out operations and oversee engineering control procedures.
• Review drawings, specifications, and design information to ensure accuracy and buildability.
• Coordinate subcontractors and ensure works are delivered in accordance with project requirements.
• Produce and review technical documentation, including ITPs, RFIs, permits, and quality records.
• Monitor project progress and identify engineering solutions to technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Support planning and sequencing of construction activities.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, utilities, and relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate site records, surveys, and as-built information
