Job summary

Robert West Consulting in London is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our marine team. You will contribute to the design and assessment of marine structures and take responsibility for project delivery, with opportunities to develop under an experienced, collaborative team.

The role is advertised at Senior and Principal levels; Chartered or working towards chartership is welcome. You will work on jetties, quays, wharves and cofferdams, collaborating with colleagues across project teams.

Qualifications

• BEng/MEng (Hons) in Civil or Structural Engineering; chartership encouraged
• Marine structures experience in design and assessment
• UK marine projects experience; track record in structural design
• CDM regulations and Quality Management Systems familiarity
• Geotechnical understanding relevant to marine structures
• Engineering judgement and collaborative approach

Responsibilities

• Develop designs and assessments for marine structures such as jetties, quays, wharves and cofferdams.
• Lead projects or work packages with support from senior colleagues.
• Manage technical and commercial aspects, budgets and deadlines.
• Maintain clear client communication and strong relationships.
• Coordinate with colleagues and other disciplines; support junior engineers.
