Role: Senior Civil Engineer - Development Infrastructure
Type: Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid.
Location: Southwark, London.

We're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer (Drainage) in Southwark, London, with hybrid/flexible working arrangements available

Role:
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take on project ownership for development-related civil engineering projects, covering preliminary and detailed design of surface & foul water drainage.

Further responsibilities will include:
  • Liaison with both internal and external bodies, including planning authorities, statutory undertakers, and national bodies such as the Environment Agency;
  • Flood Risk Assessment production and reviewing experience.
  • Attending client meetings and liaising with clients and other stakeholders;
  • Sustainable Drainage Strategies;
  • Section 106/104 (Water Industry Act) Agreements;
  • Section 278 / 38 Highway Designs;
  • Highway designs to DMRB and Local Authority guidelines;
  • Residential Estate Roads, Commercial/Industrial Access.

Requirements:
  • Proficiency using industry-standard design packages, which may include AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Site3D, KeyTERRA-FIRMA, Causeway Flow or Infodrainage/MicroDrainage
  • A practical knowledge of relevant drainage design standards, guidelines and processes
  • Can multitask and manage a portfolio of projects across various scales
  • Can communicate effectively and professionally with the design team, clients, and contractors
  • Good written skills
  • Understand the multi-disciplinary nature of projects from the planning stage through to completion
