Job summary

Senior Civil Engineer on a contract basis in St Albans. You will lead the delivery of civil designs with a focus on highways, roads and drainage, working within a busy team to hit key project milestones.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and solid UK consultancy experience, with proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage. FRAs and Drainage Strategy Reports experience are essential, with Revit/Navisworks/InfraWorks as beneficial additions.

Senior Civil Engineer - Contract

St Albans

£47.00-£52.00 per hour (Outside IR35)

Available for your next contract? Our client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join its busy team!

With a strong pipeline of projects and plenty to get stuck into, this is an excellent opportunity for a technically capable civil engineer to make an immediate impact on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the delivery of civil engineering designs, with a particular focus on highways, roads and drainage. You'll be involved in preparing drainage strategies, Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and technical reports, developing practical, sustainable solutions and ensuring designs meet the required standards.

Our client is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering and solid UK consultancy experience. A strong background in roads and drainage design is essential, alongside proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage. Experience with FRA preparation and Drainage Strategy Reports is also required, while familiarity with Revit, Navisworks and InfraWorks would be an added advantage.

This role would suit a proactive engineer who can hit the ground running, work independently and confidently manage technical challenges. The ability to oversee and support junior colleagues would also be beneficial.
