What you’ll do…

Forestry England is actively expanding the nation’s forests, planting around 1,000 hectares annually to support carbon sequestration, biodiversity, sustainable timber production, and resilient landscapes.

We seek a Senior Woodland Creation Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves:

• Designing infrastructure for new woodlands, including roads, drainage, recreational facilities, and utilities
• Providing technical guidance and project management across multiple sites
• Developing budgets and contributing to master planning of woodland creation projects

This is a temporary position until 31st March 2028, with potential for extension or permanency. Some travel across England and occasional overnight stays are required.

The role is based in our offices in the Midlands, South, or West of England, with flexible blended working options. This position is UK-based only.
