The Vacancy

Travis Baker, part of RSK Group, is looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing team in Nottingham, UK. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Travis Baker has a highly experienced team of civil and structural engineering professionals with extensive experience in assessment, design, and construction of major development projects. Our engineers evaluate land use constraints to support site acquisition and planning. In this role, you will work on various projects in an environment that encourages professional development.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare infrastructure drawings and designs using AutoCAD and other software.
• Serve as the primary contact on designated projects.
• Negotiate with Local and Drainage Authority Engineers on design for adoptable works (Section 104, Section 38, Section 278).
• Implement designs on private areas in compliance with current Codes of Practice.
• Collaborate with other design team members (Architects, M&E Engineers, Clients).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Understanding of civil engineering principles.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in a consultancy setting.
• Degree or HNC qualification in a related field.
• Chartered or Incorporated member of the ICE (preferred but not essential).
• Experience managing teams and mentoring junior staff.
