Job description

My client, a large, diverse Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their accomplished team of engineering and design experts, located close to the lively cities of Liverpool and Manchester.

Essential Criteria:

– Extensive experience in the Civil Engineering sector, in similar, design-based roles

– A Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering

– Demonstrable experience of industry-based project management

– Experience of highways and drainage design, across residential and commercial projects

– Knowledge of the relevant section agreements, including S38, S104, and S278, and other industry standards

– Experience of managing stakeholders across the public and private sectors, with commercial knowledge and awareness

– Good working knowledge of a range of software packages, including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, etc.

– Hold a full, clean UK Driving Licence

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Civil Engineer to possess the following:

– Chartered Membership of a recognised Professional Body (or proactively working to attain Chartered Status)

– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

– Good time management skills, remaining flexible and adaptable when working on a range of different projects

In the varied role of Senior Civil Engineer, you will join an expert team of engineering and design experts within the industry. You will be encouraged to develop your repertoire of skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The role will involve several responsibilities, including:

• Submission of detailed designs of a variety of civil infrastructure aspects, including drainage, roads, and sewerage systems
• Working closely with stakeholders from across the public and private sectors, including Highways and Sewer authorities, utility services companies, and more
• Attending meetings with Local Authorities and other relevant stakeholders
• Assist in the management, mentoring, and training of a high-performing team of colleagues
• Represent the company at various client and project meetings
• Utilise a range of relevant software packages, including AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, and more
