Overview

Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly-respected, innovative multidisciplinary consultancy offering specialist design services for a diverse range of projects across civil engineering, planning, and landscape architecture. The role is to lead an established team across residential, commercial, and retail projects, based near Hull.

Responsibilities

• Work on a wide range of projects across the public and private sectors, including for Local Authorities
• Complete Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies, supporting colleagues by reviewing and amending these
• Produce Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), Access Roads, Road Alignment, Highways, and Site Design, utilising AutoCAD and Civils 3D
• Lead high-profile projects from initial inception through to successful delivery
• Forge, maintain, and manage client relations across the public and private sectors
• Liaise with clients to ascertain project budgets and realistic timescales
• Represent the company at design team meetings and site visits

Required skills and experience

• Strong academic background in Civil Engineering (or similar, relevant discipline)
• Chartered Civil Engineer, or actively working to attain Chartership Status
• Extensive relevant experience within a UK-based consultancy in a design role
• Demonstrable experience in completing Site Design, Drainage Strategies, and Road Alignment for Planning Applications
• Strong competencies in the relevant software packages, including InfoDrainage and Civils 3D

Desirable skills and experience

• Live locally, being familiar with the region
• Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
