Senior Civil Engineer - Residential

Location: Buckinghamshire

Salary: £65,000

A Senior Civil Engineer is required by our house build client to manage the day-to-day coordination and design of engineering projects, ensuring a quality and cost-effective technical function.

You will assist in coordinating external consultants in collaboration with members of the Pre-development and Technical teams. This includes activities from the planning approval process, through the production of construction drawings at the detailed design stage, and throughout construction to support the operations team.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in the control and coordination of the engineering design process, managing design consultants, external parties, stakeholders, clients, and their representatives.

Responsibilities of Senior Civil Engineer

• Support and assist the Engineering Manager and junior staff within the engineering team.
• Procure and oversee designs related to S38, S278, S104, S185, foundations, retainment, geotechnical investigations, and other engineering items from external consultants.
• Procure service records and enquiries for new developments, ensuring timely payments for new infrastructure to support build programmes.
• Manage the external 'Design Team' proactively to ensure the delivery of required services, enabling the technical and other departments to fulfill their roles effectively.

Experience Required

• Experience working within a residential house builder or relevant consultancy is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of the engineering function and its delivery.
• Knowledge of engineering software packages (e.g., Geosite, Smart Engineer, Autotrack, Microdrainage, PDS).
• Understanding of changes to regulations and legislation.
