Senior Civil Engineer

Senior Civil Engineer - Required to join our client, a nationwide Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy, at their Gloucester Office. The Civil Engineer will work on a variety of Residential and Commercial Development projects, including Roads / Highway projects. The role involves diverse workload and participation in all project phases from scheme design to on-site construction.

Candidate Requirements:

• MEng, BEng, BSc Graduate aiming for Chartered status
• Minimum 3 years' detailed design experience in Road / Highways
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroDrainage
• Experience in writing reports such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements
• Experience designing foul and surface water drainage, vehicle swept path assessments using AutoTrack
• Experience with ground modelling software for horizontal/vertical alignment and earthworks
• Negotiation experience with highway, drainage authorities, and Environment Agency
• Knowledge of national guidance and regulations
• Valid Driving Licence
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding and dynamic environment
• Experience in feasibility studies, project management, and site supervision
• Design and detailing of highway works (s.278, s.38, etc.) and drainage agreements
• Attending client meetings and overseeing highway maintenance schemes
