As a result of significant growth, Wood is seeking Senior Civil Engineers for their Power Solutions UK business. The roles will support the delivery of both HV overhead line and/ or underground cable projects. Wood’s commitment to hybrid working allowing a combination between office and home working. You will be required to travel as and when required. The role can be based at any of Wood’s offices across the UK to suit the successful candidate.

The activities our civil engineers deliver support construction activities and involve the creation of permanent and temporary works. We base our delivery approach around our focus on the safe and efficient construction of our outputs by our construction teams. These roles are perfect for individuals approaching their Chartered Professional review looking to gain experience and/ or others who have recently attained Chartered status and looking to progress into earlier leadership roles within their careers. Reporting to the Principal Civil Engineer, you will provide civil engineering solutions to support the needs of our transmission projects including works designs. Coordination of the overall output and delivery of designs by managing engineering resources and interfaces with the operational teams is involved. You will approve activities of the team to ensure the accuracy and quality of our outputs. Development of team skills and knowledge is part of the role. Supporting the development of systems and technologies to enhance our efficiency, quality, and innovation is key.
