Avove Utilities is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer to strengthen our UK Water Design Team. The role focuses on water/wastewater and infrastructure design across frameworks with Northumbrian Water Group, Severn Trent Water, United Utilities, and others.
Based in/around Glasgow, with hybrid working options across UK offices (Glasgow, Durham or Birmingham). You will lead design delivery from feasibility to construction, and support budgets and junior staff development.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our UK wide Water Design Team. The position is required to support our expanding Water Utilities workload and will typically involve providing designs for water and wastewater, infrastructure, and non-infrastructure projects as part of a multi-disciplinary design team. This will include design delivery at all stages, from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed designs for construction and commissioning.
The specific roles are required primarily to support our long-term frameworks with Northumbrian Water Group, Severn Trent Water and United Utilities. There will be additional opportunities to work on other projects and frameworks throughout the UK for a variety of clients including Scottish Water and Edinburgh Airport.
This is a permanent position and will be of a hybrid nature ideally based in or around any of our Glasgow, Durham or Birmingham offices, however, other locations or alternative ways of working would be given due consideration.
Candidates should have a relevant degree qualification preferably with an additional professional qualification(s) Please note candidates with qualifications that do not fully match the criteria but have relevant equivalent experience are invited to apply.
