Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer on behalf of our client in Exeter. The role focuses on delivering highway, drainage and infrastructure designs for a range of development projects, from planning through to detailed design, with hybrid working and a clear path for professional development.

You will mentor junior engineers, liaise with clients and authorities, and contribute to technical approvals while maintaining high-quality standards and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering.
• Experience supporting the delivery of highway and infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of design standards and current engineering best practice.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience preparing preliminary infrastructure and drainage designs for development projects.
• Working knowledge of highway and drainage approval processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Experience with highway and drainage design software packages.
• Knowledge of Site 3D, drainage modelling or similar design platforms.
• Experience managing client relationships and project delivery responsibilities.
• Chartered or Incorporated status, or ambition to achieve professional qualifications.
