My client, a large, innovative, highly:respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their accomplished team of expert engineers, based in the beautiful, historical city of Nottingham.

Essential Criteria

: A Bachelors or Masters Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering

: Extensive experience of having worked in a consultancy role

: Demonstrable experience of having worked on residential projects

: Knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements, including S104, S38, S278, etc., and other industry standards

: Experience of managing a range of stakeholders across the public and private sectors, demonstrating your commercial knowledge and awareness

: Excellent working knowledge of a range of software packages, including AutoCAD, Civils 3D, etc.

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Senior Civil Engineer to possess the following:

: Chartered Membership of a recognised Professional Body (or proactively working toward attaining Chartered Status)

: Good time management skills, with the ability to remain flexible and adaptable

: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well as a member of a team, as well as on your own initiative

: A willingness to engage with a range of projects across the sector

Responsibilities

In the varied role of Senior Civil Engineer, you will join an expert team of design engineers within the industry. You will be encouraged to develop your repertoire of skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). The role will involve several responsibilities, including:

: Overseeing a range of design projects at all stages of the process, from inception through to successful delivery

: Preparation of tenders and fee proposals, drawing upon technical and commercial experience

: Producing and overseeing the completion of Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Scoping Reports, and Drainage Strategies

: Leading your team in the production of conceptual drainage design (incorporating SuDS techniques) and the creation of relevant drainage plans, as well as adoptable roads and highways

: Reviewing calculations, drawings, and reports submitted by colleagues

: Presenting practical risk mitigation, recommendations, and commercial advice to a broad range of clients
