Role: Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £44-£55k plus excellent benefits package.

The Role

As the Senior Civil Engineer, reporting to the Associate Director, you will lead the design delivery for a variety of projects within the drainage infrastructure sector, with challenging projects in sustainable urban and conventional surface water drainage. You'll take pride in your work, solve complex engineering problems, and be in your element within a busy consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

1. Producing high quality deliverables
2. Sustainable urban drainage design
3. Conventional surface drainage design
4. Solve challenging engineering dilemmas
5. Support in the management of the team
6. Technical support and resource planning

Requirements

1. Relevant Civil Engineering degree (Masters desirable but not essential)
2. 7+ years of experience within the drainage sector
3. Knowledge of surface, and foul water design and/or construction.
4. Sewers for adoption and Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
5. Have or be nearing Chartership
6. Have SuDS Approval Body approval
7. Competent in 3D design and modelling
8. Highly competent using MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and/or Autodesk ICM
9. Knowledge of Water Authority approval processes (i.e. S104, S106)
10. Awareness of Planning Policy and design requirements relating to flood risk management
11. Able to manage workloads effectively and efficiently to meet deadlines
12. Competent in relationship building (i.e. with external bodies and authorities)
13. Able to work to your own initiative, independently, and within a team
14. Methodical, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
