We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our highly regarded, progressive, and award-winning Civil & Structural team within our Cardiff office.

We are seeking a talented engineer with extensive experience, excellent software skills, and a desire to work in a highly collaborative, multi-disciplinary team focused on sustainability, technical excellence, and shaping construction in the UK and beyond.

Your role will include:
  • Collaborating as a member of a growing multi-disciplinary consultancy.
  • Operating across a range of projects.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Undertaking scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs, and project coordination.
  • Contributing to or leading work winning, managing project finances, and preparing fee proposals.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members to uphold quality and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Participating in design and site meetings, site inspections, and progress reporting.
  • Maintaining good communication and liaising effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and authorities.
You will be set up for success if you have:
  • A relevant qualification such as BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc, HND, or HNC in civil engineering, with significant experience in a design office environment.
  • Knowledge of Section 104, 278, and 38 adoption procedures.
  • Strong analysis and technical design skills in AutoCAD, PDS, Civils3D, and MicroDrainage.
  • Understanding of technical software like Civil 3D, AutoTrack, and industry standards.
  • Experience working with residential developers.
  • Knowledge of UK planning procedures and ability to support planning approvals.
  • Ability to secure technical approvals from highway and drainage authorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A self-motivated, team-oriented attitude with good interpersonal skills.
