• Manage interfaces and integration of civil design with other disciplines; produce documentation.
• Act as technical checker and perform reviews across projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery processes including standard designs and digital tools.
• Conduct site reviews to ensure buildability and integration with existing systems.
• Support development of civil engineering team; coach and mentor engineers; allocate resources.

We have secured anewframework withDŵrCymru Welsh Water that will last up to eight years, this will see MMB tackle projects across the DCC region covering both clean and wastewater treatment sites, as well as below ground assets,reservoirsand nature-based solutions.

After securing our first framework with DCC at the beginning of AMP6, our presence in Wales has grown significantly, directly employing over 270 colleagues in the country across all roles, from frontline construction to design and management positions.

The role of a Senior Civil Engineer - Hydraulic includes:

• Providing design support and guidance for schemes and ensuring all designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards
• Working closely and collaboratively with the commercial, operational and construction teams to develop efficient,practicaland safe solutions throughout design stages, construction and beyond
• Positively engage with the client, managing relationships and adopting a one-team approach to supporting them in achieving their aims
• Managing the interfaces and integration of the civil design with that of other disciplines and production of documentation
• Acting as technical checker on project documents, and undertaking technical reviews for projects across teams
• Identifyingopportunities to improve delivery processes including development and implementation of standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools
• Undertaking site reviews to ensure buildability of solutions and integration within the existing systems
• Supporting the development of the civil engineering team,coachingand mentoring engineers to develop their skill set andidentifyingthe correct resource for the projects

What you’ll need:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
• Chartership (CEng) with a relevant Engineering Institution
• Experience of successfully delivering high quality outputsin accordance withdesign,qualityand safety standards
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
• Methodical approach to problem solving
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
