Job Description

JAB Recruitment is currently sourcing a Senior Civil Contracts Advisor on behalf of our client, a leading international energy company. This position plays a key advisory role in the extension of two major offshore wind farms. The successful candidate will support a 60km onshore cable corridor civil construction scope and must have significant experience in the UK civils sector, including contract strategy and execution phases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on 2-stage collaborative contract strategy and procurement for UK civil construction projects.
  • Deliver training sessions to client personnel on contract strategy and execution.
  • Act as an advisor through the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) / Stage 1 process.
  • Contribute to the preparation of Invitations to Tender (ITT) for large civil contracts.
  • Support tender evaluations and advise during execution of Stage 2.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience managing construction contracts for civil works in the UK.
  • In-depth experience with 2-stage collaborative contracting, covering both procurement and execution phases.
  • Experience in the energy, infrastructure, or civil sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC4 Option C, FIDIC, or PPC2000 standard forms of contract.

Minimum Qualifications (must meet one of the following):

As per Personnel Category 3 or 4 (Principal Professional or Leading Professional/Specialist):

  • Master’s degree and 8–10+ years of relevant experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree and 12–14+ years of relevant experience OR
  • 2+ years higher education and 16–18+ years of relevant experience OR
  • No higher education and 20–18+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in managing personnel or specialist technical knowledge in civil contracting
