Job summary

Department: Residential

Location: Orchard Farm - Buxton

Compensation: £35,848 - £38,028 per year

Hours: Full time, 2 days on 4 days off (with sleep nights). The service operates 365 days a year. Rotas are provided in advance.

Pay rate: £13.80 to £14.85 per hour for days (depending on qualification), £60 per sleep night (equates to approximately £35,848 – £38,028 per annum). Opportunities to pick up overtime at enhanced rates.

We are looking for nurturing and supportive people who can provide outstanding childcare and help our young people achieve amazing outcomes. Our beautiful home near Buxton is a group home that offers a comfortable, homely setting for young people who require therapeutic placements. Our teams support their domestic needs, education, socialisation skills, hobbies and interests, including crafting, baking, and singing.

Essential requirements

• A minimum of 12 months experience in a children’s residential care home
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
• In‑depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
• A full UK driving licence
• Right to work in the UK with no restrictions
• Values in line with Esland’s, such as a therapeutic, person‑centred approach to childcare
• Age 21 or older, in accordance with industry regulations
