Job summary

Keys Group is seeking a Senior Support Worker to care for children and young people with learning disabilities in our 2-bed residential home in Ipswich. You will join an amazing team, providing a caring environment and remaining vigilant to keep children safe.

A driving license is required, and long day shifts with sleep-in duties form part of the role. We offer funded training, a supportive management team, and opportunities for progression within the service.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 months experience working in a Children's home with LD
  • Knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models
  • High resilience, passionate and hands on
  • Able to work long day shifts, weekends and sleep-in shifts

Responsibilities

  • Support children with complex needs, including Autism, behavioural and trauma
  • Provide a caring and nurturing environment and keep children safe
  • Work closely with Keys clinical team to ensure each child gets the right support

We are looking for a qualified Senior Support worker where you willbecome part of an amazing team at our 2 bed home, supporting children who have complex needs, Autism, behavioural and trauma, helping them to reach their full potential and have positive outcomes, providing a caring and nurturing environment and keeping them safe.

You will also work closely with Keys clinical team, ensuring each child gets the right support based on their individual needs.

What do you need?

  • A minimum of 12 months experience working in a Childrens home with LD
  • Knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic models.
  • High Resilience, passionate and hands on
  • level 3 or 4 in Childrens residential workforce minimim is essential
  • You need to be able to work flexibly covering long day shifts, weekends and sleeps.
