Job summary

Carrington Blake Recruitment is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner – Children’s Services to join a front-line safeguarding team covering South Kesteven East. You will complete assessments of children and families with safeguarding concerns and provide ongoing social work support, managing cases from initial referral through to closure with CIN/CP involvement.

The role requires a Qualified Social Worker, a minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience and strong court reporting skills,

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration.
• Minimum 3 years’ post-qualifying experience.
• Significant frontline children’s safeguarding experience.
• Experience completing Section 47 investigations – essential.
• Experience working with Child in Need and Child Protection cases.
• Experience preparing reports and assessments for court proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments of children and families where safeguarding concerns have been raised.
• Undertake Section 47 investigations where there is concern of significant harm.
• Manage and support children subject to CIN and CP plans.
• Undertake statutory visits and direct work with children and families.
• Manage cases from referral through assessment, intervention and closure.
• Progress cases through CIN, CP and Care Proceedings as needed.
• Prepare high-quality assessments and court documentation.
