Role
- Job Title: Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker
- Home Type: 4 Bedded LD home therapeutic PACE approach
- Location: Handsworth Wood, B20
- Contract: Full time, 40 hours per week & sleeps required
- Shift pattern: 7:30-21:30, flexibility needed & rota one-month in advance
Package & Benefits
- Basic Salary: Up to £15.80 p/h + £50 per sleep
- Estimated package: £37,664 p/a (based on 2 sleep-ins per week)
- Enhanced Overtime: +£2.20 per hour
- Additional Bonuses: Up to £3,000 per annum in performance-related bonuses

Organisation & Development
This organisation operates two children’s homes across the West Midlands region and aspires to expand. The successful candidate would have access to mentorship and progression opportunities within a forward-thinking business supported by a clinical Doctor informing the therapeutic practice and online ClearCare based systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate a care team on shift to ensure smooth operation and high-quality care for young people
- Key-work with young people, promoting life skills, independence, education, activities, and preparation for adulthood
- Develop and review Ofsted-required paperwork (care plans, behaviour support plans, risk assessments, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding policies
- Oversee health and safety, medication administration, cleanliness and financial aspects of the home
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience specifically in a children’s home environment
- Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
- Flexibility to carry out the described shift pattern, including sleep-ins
- A genuine passion for supporting the wellbeing and healthy development of young people
